Munich, 24 October 2006. Unitel Classica, the TV station for classical music, is coming to Spain, where it will broadcast in Spanish under the name "Unitel Classica" on the DSL platform Imagenio. After Germany, Austria (both Premiere), Italy (Sky) and Japan, Spain is now the fifth nation to offer Unitel Classica as a pay-TV station on its television program. "Our goal is to establish Unitel Classica worldwide as thechannel for classical music," says Unitel Classica CEO Jan Mojto. "Classical music does not know any linguistic boundaries.?
Unitel Classica Spain's program addresses itself directly to the Spanish public and draws its programs from the unique stocks of Unitel, one of the greatest archives of classical music in the world. It features operas and concerts sung and performed by world-class interpreters and the best orchestras as well as ballet performances and live broadcasts of outstanding international music events and festivals. Unitel Classica addresses music lovers whose demands are not met by the programs of traditional television stations. Among the most recent productions is the colossal project "Mozart22," the recording of all Mozart operas from this year's Salzburg Festival. The "Mozart22" operas will be broadcast exclusively on all Unitel Classica stations beginning in December.
