Munich, 7 April 2015. Beta’s drama series Wonderland, set along Sydney’s glorious beachside, is heading out to conquer the world with deals in the US, Canada, Israel and throughout Europe. Ahead of MipTV Beta Film closed contracts with Hulu for the US as well as with Bell/CTV Group for Canada. The 44xone hour series, revolving around a group of young urban professionals navigating the pitfalls of friendship, love and sex will also be aired in Israel (Hot), at Netherland’s RTL, Norway’s TV2, in the Baltics (Viasat) and at Fox International Channels in the Balkans. In addition, Beta Film is in advanced negotiations with several further territories in Europe and Asia.

Executive produced by Jo Porter (“Packed to the Rafters”), Wonderland scored #2 in the target group “under 55” in major cities and very well in the young female demographic on Australia’s Channel Ten.

At the Wonderland apartment complex, right at the doorstep of one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, you meet Michael Dorman (“Wild Boys”), Brooke Satchwell (“Packed To The Rafters”), Jessica Tovey (“Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo”) and Colette Riger (“Emma Lung”) among others, an eclectic bunch of thirtyish, united by their longing for freedom and togetherness. Wonderland is produced by FremantleMedia Australia, series producer is Andy Walker.
