Munich and Beijing, 7 February 2019. Beta Film and WeKids, a leading Chinese content producer and distributor, are teaming up to bring world-class content to children around the world, including China and Asia. The partnership kicks off with Patchwork Pals (52x4’), a German animated pre-school series, pre-bought by the BBC, for which WeKids takes over distribution to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the rest of Asia, as well as English-speaking Canada. The series is directed and designed by Angela Steffen, with the second season being produced by Studio Film Bilder, co-financed by WeKids and supported by MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg.
