At Night in the ParkA murder suspect turns criminal to prove his innocence
Dr. Steffen Hennings was indeed in the park at night, spying on his colleague Katharina through the windows of her living room. But did he kill the woman whose body lay only centimeters away from where he stood?
The police think so, and the following day, a near-hysterical team of cops led by Inspector Dremmler arrest him in the midst of surgery, brutally interrogate him and all but sentence him to death. Availing himself of the general confusion in the interrogation room, Steffen takes police psychologist Rosenblum hostage and flees with him. He intends to keep Rosenblum captive until he becomes convinced of Steffen's innocence.
Time is of the essence, since the police are after them, even though the real killer is still on the loose. Hesitantly, warily, the fugitive suspect and his captive analyst bond as they try to solve the case while on the run. Rosenblum gradually comes to believe in Steffen's innocence. And so does Katharina, who soon finds the intrusions of Inspector Dremmler more disturbing and threatening than Steffen's voyeurism. And her instinct is right...
