Clarissa

It is the summer of 1914, and Clarissa, the strait-laced daughter of a respected Austrian general, makes an important discovery: love. After her brief affair with the Frenchman Léonard is interrupted by the outbreak of the war, she returns to Vienna and soon learns that she is pregnant. Unable to marry Léonard, whose country is now at war with Austria, she enters into a marriage of convenience with a man she does not love. As the years go by, Clarissa becomes convinced that Léonard has died in the war. Then, one day, she discovers the letters he sent her and which her father hid from her. She resolves to find Léonard, come what may...
