The West is as alluring and challenging as ever – even if it's gotten a bit tamer. But thanks to the Flemings, it's also become a homestead for a warm-hearted family of horse ranchers that values passion, commitment and humor in life and work.
There's always a bit of pioneer magic hovering over the Flemings and their friends. It's probably what helps Amy understand horses so well, Lou conjure up profits out of thin air, and their dad Jack cope with problems like back in the Good Old Days.
Jack's perennial squabbling with his ex-son-in-law Tim is the chili pepper in the family stew, the Mexican jumping bean that keeps the ranch hopping. But without Tim, life at Heartland Ranch would be a lot less colorful, since Tim is the guy everyone loves, and loves to hate. And what would the ranch be like without chatterbox Mallory, who's always got an opinion about everything?
As long as Amy and Lou hold the reins of Heartland, the ranch will continue to generate adventures of all kinds, from whimsical to dramatic. And the rough-and-tumble relations among the Flemings will continue to ignite sparks that light up the vast open skies of the New West...
