Herrn Josefs letzte Liebe
Mr. Joseph directs the affairs of Tuerkheim, a banker, with great circumspection and discretion. If Joseph seems from time to time to be a bit peevish, his bad temper is due to miss Auguste, who can not pass up an opportunity to make his life miserable. One Sunday, Joseph sees some young persons tormenting a little dog. Indignant, he intervenes and rescues the dog. The result is that the dog attaches himself to Mr. Joseph. Touched by this display of trust, Joseph takes the dog up into his room. Unfortunately, Miss Auguste discovers all too soon who - or what - Joseph has smuggled into the villa. She demands that the mutt be sent packing.
