Architect Beth is late for her early morning flight. She and her husband, Jack, are both too focused on their careers and unwilling to make time for each other, something they would like to change. This morning, however, she's more concerned about catching her flight and rushes to wave goodbye to their teenage son, Charlie, as she leaves. At the airport, Beth sees the news that their building has caught on fire and hits the road to return to her son and husband in the towering blaze. There, father and son are left with no way out. Seeking help from Firefighter Ray and the Chief, Beth quickly realizes that she needs to take matters into her own hands. With Ray's help, Beth has to overcome unspeakable hurdles to reach her family. Together, they are facing an ordeal that put life, and the importance of family, back into proper perspective.
