One in a ThousandAgainst all odds a young dancer struggles toward her dream of the stage…
Life is dancing, and to dance is what she wants. And Chrissy, the only child of an upper middle class couple, is used to getting what she wants! She is therefore astonished when her audition at a prominent dance school in Berlin is a complete failure.
Still hopeful and too proud to return home to study medicine as her father wishes, she decides to stay in Berlin to pursue her dream. At the run-down dance studio where she trains, she meets and falls in love with Tim, a talented dancer. Together they manage to survive, one day at a time, by landing jobs as backup dancers for video clips and stage pieces.
Soon however, she is forced to realize that the path to the footlights is strewn with jealousy, poverty, and spiteful competition. The intense pressure of the competition starts to wear her down and when her relationship with Tim starts falling apart, her self-confidence quickly begins to unravel.
Filled with frustration and insecurity and faced with the hard realities of making it in show business, she is ready to give up and go home, but support suddenly comes from the most unlikely places...
