After the chilling murder of Monika Hecht, manager of an esoteric institute for the Indian art of love, the Kama Sutra, detective Vanessa Kramer goes undercover at the picturesque castle to investigate the crime. Immediately under suspicion is the victim's former husband and business partner Dr. Josef Hecht as the two of them had considerably different ideas of how to successfully lead their business. Faced with an already fragile therapy group, Hecht decides to continue the therapy aided by his Indian assistant Protima and the psychologist Dr. Hannah Lang. The institute's clients all suffer from some form of love or relationship problem and hope that through the Kama Sutra therapy they might regain their confidence in the opposite sex. Kramer soon learns that most of the clients and employees of the institute are far more suspicous than they seem and as well, that they had been blackmailed by Monika Hecht. While undercover in the therapy group, Kramaer becomes sidetracked as she discovers her own hidden love trauma. When a second murder takes place at the castle with the same weapon and the same symbol of snakes crossing appears alongside the victim, Kramer must overcome her newfound weakness and unravel the institute's secrets before yet another killing takes place.
