Beta Kids & Family sets sail for Cannes with fresh titles on board

Beta Film's boutique label Beta Kids & Family is setting sails for Cannes with a virtual showcase ahead of MIPJunior on Thursday, September 26, giving buyers early access to the new line-up. Beta Kids & Family is travelling with old friends and new series in tow, such as the second seasons of Prisma (16 x 45’) and Rumors (60 x 12’), as well as newly acquired programs like the Hungarian feature film I Accidentally Wrote a Book (96') and the docuseries On Board With Louise (10 x 15').
I Accidentally Wrote a Book (96'), based on the internationally acclaimed novel by Annet Huizing, is produced by Juno11 Pictures. The feature film tells the story of a teen, Nina, who dreams of becoming a writer. While her novelist neighbor helps her to achieve that, Nina suddenly realizes that her life is actually becoming a novel!
On Board With Louise (10 x 15'), produced by Dubourcq Productions on behalf of NRK, follows seven-year-old Louise, who lives with her family on a very special ship. Sailing to Senegal with a hospital below deck and her school above, Louise takes viewers on her adventures: from making friends with a child undergoing surgery, to playing with lion cubs ashore, and much more!
All-Round Champion - US Remake (67 x 60'), produced by marblemedia, is back with its sixth season. The feel-good reality series pits ten of North America's most decorated young athletes against each other in the ultimate competition. The catch? They won't be competing in their own sport; they'll be competing against each other. Judged on skill, sportsmanship, and improvement, one athlete will be crowned the All-Round Champion.
The line-up also includes the opening film of this year's Cinekid Festival, Benjamin Bat (76'). The animated musical adventure is about a sensitive bat who is afraid of the dark. Benjamin Bat is produced by Storytellers Film & TV and Zeilt Productions in co-production with Avrotros and in collaboration with il Luster.
Returning for a second season is Glow (8 x 15'), produced by NRK Super, which tells Jenny’s turbulent teen life from her first crush to accidentally stealing a lot of money from her stepmother.
