Millions tune in: Beta’s hit series and movies light up Italian television this summer
Sisi season 4 and Simon Coleman season 2 triumphed as #1 and #2 show respectively on primetime, significantly outperforming the competition, which included the comedy entertainment show Max Working – Lavori in Corso with Max Angioni, one of Italy’s most celebrated comedians.
Sisi, airing on Canale 5, won primetime with an average viewership of over 1.5 million and a market share of up to 16%, closely followed by the competitor Simon Coleman on RAI 1, drawing up to 1.3 million viewers and a market share of nearly 11%.
On RAI 2, the German crime movie cycle Split Homicide outperformed the long-running U.S. series NCIS: New Orleans and The Mentalist and consistently attracted a growing audience, reaching up to 2.5 million total viewers. It had previously achieved excellent ratings in Germany as well, securing a market share of up to 26%.
Also airing in the afternoon slot of RAI 3 was the German series Homicide Hills - Fresh Force reaching an average audience of up to 400,000 viewers.
Isabelle claimed a primetime victory on RAI 1 this summer. The French crime drama outperformed the American series Watson, attracting nearly 2 million viewers and a market share of almost 15% with the broadcast of episodes 1 and 2.
The strong performance continued with episodes 3 and 4, maintaining steady viewership and reaching a total audience of over 3.5 million.
Rocco Schiavone re-ran with extraordinary and stable success, securing a loyal fanbase on RAI 2 with viewership figures of over a million viewers and a market share of up to 6.4%.
Furter Beta programs that aired to great success this summer in Italy are Prisma, Baltic Files, Murder by the Lake, and Barcelona Crime.

Simon Coleman (9x12h) is a Parisian undercover cop, and a veritable lone wolf. But one day, he is thrown into a new role when he must take custody of the three children of his sister. Produced by France Télévisions, Épisode Productions, Be-Films - RTBF (télévision belge), the series broke records on his home turf on France 2 with more than 4.3 million viewers and a market share of up to 23.4%.
Murder is never just a simple affair: Split Homicide (16x2h) follows Branka, who stands up to corruption, willing to even risk her life doing so. When the worst actually happens, it will be up to her successor Stascha to prove her abilities in turn.
