Digital studio DRIVE beta and Rosebank Entertainment agree on strategic partnership
Berlin-based digital studio DRIVE beta GmbH and Cologne-based production holding Rosebank Entertainment AG are entering a strategic partnership, in which Rosebank takes over a minority stake of DRIVE beta. While Rosebank will support DRIVE beta's business development in areas such as finance, business, and legal, the latter will bring its distribution and social media expertise to the Rosebank Group.
Since its founding in 2018, DRIVE beta has become an integral part of the German production landscape. The Berlin-based company's portfolio ranges from long-form formats and social media channels, one-offs and series, to high-end documentary series and fictional content. Rosebank, a subsidiary of Beta Film, brings together fictional as well as non-fictional production companies, including Bantry Bay, Dreamtool, and Brot&Butter ENTERTAINMENT.
Hannes Jakobsen, founder and CEO of DRIVE beta GmbH: "From the outset, our aim with DRIVE beta was to produce contemporary media with a clear signature and great appeal. Together with our fantastic clients and broadcasters, we have consistently succeeded in doing so as a team. The partnership with Rosebank enables us to build on this success, and, with the help of the holding company's structures, to focus even more strongly on developing new projects and genres, as well as on entrepreneurial development."
Jan Kromschröder und Stefan Oelze, Managing Partners at Rosebank Entertainment AG: “We are very much looking forward to working with Hannes, Johannes, Cat, Florian, Yann, Franca, Philine, and the entire DRIVE beta team. With its clear focus on on-demand content and distribution, DRIVE beta complements Rosebank's existing creative portfolio – and thus also has a promising unique position within the entire Beta Group. We are also looking forward to the creative exchange between the teams at DRIVE beta and the Rosebank companies Bantry Bay, Brot&Butter ENTERTAINMENT, and Dreamtool."
