Beta Film sells SVT hit program “Astrid Lindgren’s Seacrow Island” & “Benjamin Bat” to ZDF
Based on the original classic by Astrid Lindgren, Astrid Lindgren’s Seacrow Island was recently presented at MIPJunior. The 6x27’ series tells the story of a perfect Swedish island vacation, taking viewers through the magic of a childhood summer. Produced by SF Studios in co-production with SVT and Astrid Lindgren AB, Astrid Lindgren's Seacrow Island follows the inhabitants and visitors of Seacrow Island, where a run-down rental cottage becomes a holiday paradise and the starting point for many memorable summer adventures.
Benjamin Bat tells the story of a bat who is afraid of the dark — like a fish who doesn't like water! However, when Benjamin meets the outgoing tropical songbird Sherida, his world is turned upside down. The 76’ animated feature film opened at Cinekid 2024 and has since become a festival favourite, showing at over 20 festivals worldwide, including in Europe, India, and Australia. It is produced by Storytellers Film & TV and Zeilt Productions, in co-production with Avrotros, and in collaboration with Il Luster.
Both programs are internationally distributed by Beta Kids & YA.
