Munich, 4 March 2026. Beta Film’s library gems never go out of fashion: Their extensive catalogue has fueled a wave of major international deals for the company’s top library titles. Beta Fim has sold the critically acclaimed crime drama Copper to UKTV’s streamer U in the UK, while the German crime movie cycle Big Ben was once again snatched by PRIMA TV for Czech Republic and Slovakia. Also, the celebrated, long-running series The Call of the Mountain was acquired in both territories by JOJ (free TV, Slovakia) and AXN White (pay TV, Slovakia and Czech Republic). Cedar Cove starring Hollywood icon Andie MacDowell cracked the 400.000+ views on YouTube in the German-speaking territories, while the series was acquired by TV2 in Hungary. The Canadian crime drama Cracked premiered with strong performance on Prime Video Direct in Germany.

Copper (23x1h, Cineflix/BBC AMERICA/Shaw Media/Beta Film), the raw crime drama set in 1860’s New York City during the last gasps of the Civil War, celebrated a sensational success in the US and across Europe when it first aired in 2012. With its new home in the UK, the series celebrated an equally sensational comeback and is being praised by fans as “brilliant TV”, “dark and deep” with a “unique flavour”. Created and executive produced by Academy Award® winner Barry Levinson, Emmy® winner Tom Fontana and Academy Award® nominee Will Rokos, Copper revolves around Kevin Corcoran, a tough yet decent police detective, who returns from war to find his wife missing and his daughter dead. On a hunt for the truth, Corcoran divides his time between working cases for the city and trying to piece together what happened to his family.

Based on Debbie Macomber´s best-selling novels, Cedar Cove (28x1h, Unity Pictures for Hallmark Channel US) sees Hollywood star Andie MacDowell in her very first lead role in a TV series. The Hallmark series broke several prime-time records in the US when first airing in 2013. Andie MacDowell plays Judge Olivia Lockhart, who is considered as the community's guiding light in the picturesque, coastal town of Cedar Cove in the US North-West. But like everyone else, Olivia fights the uphill battle of balancing career with family and finding love, all while doing her best to care for the place she calls home.
