Lille/Munich, 13 March 2026. Beta Film heads to Series Mania, kicking off the event with its traditional Beta Brunch (Monday, 23 March), which is taking place in Lille for the second time. Leading its spring/summer line-up is the Spanish dramedy In Vitro (6x1h), for which Beta Film has picked up international distribution rights. The dramedy is among the ten selected series of Series Mania’s exclusive showcase “Buyers Upfront”. In Vitro takes a heartwarming, innovative, and witty look at how babies are made: When 37-year-old biologist Blanca starts a new job at a fertility clinic, she is forced not only to get to the bottom of the needs and risks of her clients, but her own, as well.

Furthermore, Beta’s line-up includes new acquisitions, such as their first K-Drama Snow White Must Die (16x1h), the Icelandic romantic drama Everybody Loves Horses (4x1h), the French thriller series A Guilty Affair (4x1h), and the German medical movie cycle Simply Elli (2x2h), as well as the London TV Screenings highlights Gomorrah - The Origins (6x1h), Maxima (12x1h), Patience (24x1h), and Barton Vet (12 x 1h).

Also, the winning team of the 4th edition of the creative initiative SERIESMAKERS will be announced on Tuesday, 24 March, as part of the Co-Pro Pitching Award session.

Beta’s Chief Distribution Officer Oliver Bachert is among the panelists at the session “How can distributors stay relevant when broadcasters & platforms forge alliances?” on Wednesday, 25 March.

In Vitro (6x1h) stars Bruna Cusí (Merli, All We Cannot See, Simple) as brilliant biologist Blanca, who starts a new job at a fertility clinic in search of a more meaningful career path. She quickly begins to question her own idea of motherhood when she is confronted with her partner’s desire to start a family, social expectations, and her daily experience at the clinic.

The series is directed by Marc Crehuet (Mirror Mirror, The One-Eyed King, Welcome to the Family) and produced by Moiré Films, Rodar y Rodar, and Bullfrog Pictures, in co-production with 3Cat, with the participation of HBO Max and the support of ICEC (Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals) and of the Council of Europe Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions.

In the vein of Memories of Murder, Snow White Must Die (16x1h), is based on Nele Neuhaus’ bestselling German novel, and centers on a young man who served ten years in prison for a murder he doesn’t remember committing. Now, he’s determined to clear his name. The K-Drama is produced by Hidden Sequence for MBC.

The romantic, deeply human, and disarmingly funny series Everybody Loves Horses (4x1h), produced by Kaiho Repulic and Saga Film, is a visually stunning and unfolds against the breathtaking backdrop of Iceland’s raw nature, where the bond between people and horses runs deep.

A Guilty Affair (4x1h) circles around a high school principal who desperately searches for her daughter after she disappears. Was the girl murdered by the new PE teacher she’s been having an affair with? The thriller series is produced by France Televisions, Episode Productions, Be-Films, RTBF.

Elli is a paramedic with ADHD working for a trauma center in the Alps and finds strength in her condition: In Simply Elli (2x2h) her cheerful nature and unconventional methods are surely a breath of fresh air! The movie cycle is produced by Narrative Way for ZDF.
