Munich, 12 March 2026. The jury of the renowned German Grimme Awards have announced this year’s winners, and the Beta Group has reason to celebrate: Beta Group’s Zeitsprung Pictures, X Filme, and Sommerhaus Filmproduktion are among the honored production companies. With three awards and two more nominations, Beta Group represents two out of four awarded programs in the main category Fiction: Last year’s Berlinale title Other People’s Money (8x1h, X Filme Creative Pool GmbH & True Content Entertainment/EPO-Film/Beta Film for ZDF/DR), sold and co-produced by Beta Film, as well as Tatort: Dunkelheit, produced by Sommerhaus Filmproduktion for ARD Degeto/hr, have won the coveted award, while Beta’s Rosenthal: The Great Showman (2h, if... Productions Film for ZDF) and Berlin ER (Violet Pictures/Real Film Berlin for ZDF neo/Apple TV+) were also nominated. The Award of the Student Jury was given to Berlin ER. Another nomination in the Youth category went to the German remake of the Israeli hit series format Euphoria (Zeitsprung Pictures for RTL+). The Grimme Awards will hold their awards ceremony on April 24.
