‘Hudson & Rex’ season 10 scores a strong North American premiere
Now spanning 134 hours, the long-running canine-and-cop series Hudson & Rex remains one of Beta Film’s most sought-after titles worldwide. The tenth season continues its success, attracting large audiences in the North American market. It marks the first English-language adaptation of the highly successful European format Rex - A Cop's Best Friend.
After a year’s absence, Detective Charlie Hudson’s (John Reardon) return shakes up Major Crimes. As Charlie adjusts to being back on the job, Detective Mark Hudson (Luke Roberts) reconsiders his place on the team, leaving the ever-loyal Rex stuck between his two partners. After Superintendent Joe Donovan (Kevin Hanchard) is injured, Dr. Sarah Truong (Mayko Nguyen) steps in as Head of Major Crimes, while a recovering Joe begins a new chapter of his own. Meanwhile, Detective Jesse Mills (Justin Kelly), who continues to come into his own as an investigator, proves he is more than just a tech-whiz kid. Through all these challenges, and no matter how much life changes, what will always remain the same is the bond between a partner and his dog.
Hudson & Rex is produced by Shaftesbury, Pope Productions and Beta Film for Rogers Sports & Media / Citytv. Beta Film handles international sales.
