Munich/Cádiz, 5 November 2026. A triple win for Blindspot Berlin at the South International Series Festival in Cádiz. The gripping six-part drama has received three awards at this year’s festival, winning Best Fiction Series, Best Screenplay for a Fiction Series, and the Audience Award for Best Fiction Series.

The triple recognition from jury and audiences caps a successful week for Blindspot Berlin in Spain, following its recent sale to Filmin Spain, where the series will launch in early 2027.

Based on true events, Blindspot Berlin follows the investigation leading up to the 2016 Berlin Christmas market attack, exposing how institutional failures, bureaucracy, and political blind spots prevented authorities from stopping one of Germany's deadliest terrorist attacks. The series is directed by David Nawrath (Your Honor), who co-created and co-wrote the screenplay with David Marian.

Blindspot Berlin stars Albrecht Schuch (All Quiet on the Western Front, Bad Banks, Berlin Alexanderplatz, System Crasher), Tamer Trasoglu (Unfamiliar, Manta Manta) and Bayan Layla. The cast also includes Wael Alkhatib, Jeanne Goursaud, Bernd Hölscher and Sina Martens.

Produced by NEUESUPER in co-production with ARD Degeto Film, rbb, NDR and HR, Blindspot Berlin is currently airing on ARD’s streaming service. Beta Film handles international distribution.
