Munich, 29 July 2021. The ITV/PBS crime drama Professor T has celebrated a sweeping success in the UK. Since its launch on BritBox early June, it has constantly held its place in the top 5 most-viewed shows, resulting in some of the biggest peaks in drama viewing that the streaming service has seen so far. On linear TV, Professor T premiered on ITV mid-July, scoring a market share of 20 %, well above average. The overall viewership was 4.4 million including the seven days catch up figures. Further episodes remained steady on a high level, with one episode even finishing as most-watched show on ITV over the weekend. The series, starring Ben Miller (DEATH IN PARADISE, JOHNNY ENGLISH, BRIDGERTON) and Frances de la Tour (HARRY POTTER & THE GOBLET OF FIRE, THE HISTORY BOYS), also run  very successfully on PBS.

British media praised the crime comedy, set against the glorious backdrop of Cambridge University. The magazine Radio Times, which devoted its title story to Ben Miller, praises the “superb cast,” the Express sees an “outstanding crime drama,” the Financial Times states: "as gorgeously English as cream tea." Directed by Dries Vos, Professor T is produced by Eagle Eye Drama in association with Caviar and the Original Producer Skyline Entertainment NV for ITV and PBS.
