Munich, 10 September 2021. Defending its position from last year, the Beta Film Group is once more ranked second by German trade outlet DWDL, with eleven nominations for the German Television Award. With even more nominees compared to 2020, the selected productions are covering a wide range of genres: crime series ‘Empire Oktoberfest’ by Zeitsprung Pictures is leading the way with five nominations in the categories Best Fiction Series, Best Camera, Best Music, Best Equipment, and Misel Maticevic for Best Actor. Seapoint Productions counts for four nominations with the entertainment formats ‘Princess Charming’, ‘Showtime of my Life’ in the categories Best Reality and Best Factual Entertainment, and the audience hit ‘Let’s Dance’, which is nominated twice. Lead Actress Lisa-Marie Koroll is nominated for her incredible performance in the drama ‘Aus Haut und Knochen’, produced by Rowboat Film- und Fernsehproduktion. Completing the list is Sperl Film’s film about the recent financial scandal ‘Wirecard - Die Milliarden-Lüge’, which is nominated in the category Best Documentary.
