‘T’is the season for new seasons and the second season of El Inmortal – Gangs of Madrid has just been greenlit. After premiering during this year’s Canneseries during MIPTV, the show was sold across Europe. Starring multi-awarded Alex Garcia as El Inmortal, the eight times one hour show follows the rise of José Antonio (El Inmortal) to become one of Madrid’s most prolific drug lords. The drama is produced by Movistar+ and Telemundo Int. Studios in collaboration with DLO Producciones.

In the UK, a success story continues: Professor T has been greenlit for a third season. As one of UK’s most popular and most streamed dramas, the ITV/PBS crime series about brilliant Cambridge Professor Jasper Tempest (Ben Miller, Death in Paradise), celebrated tremendous success with its second season on ITV this autumn after the pilot episode attracted nearly 5.5 million viewers. The series has won the International Format Award in the category “Best Scripted Format” in 2021 and has been sold to more than 100 territories worldwide.

Additionally, the high-concept Sky Original production Pagan Peak will be returning with a third season. The thriller series achieved great ratings on the pay TV platform Sky Germany, drawing in over half a million viewers on TV and scoring more than 600.000 views on Sky’s non-linear distribution channels. The second season produced by Wiedemann & Berg Television in co-production with epo-film produktionsgesellschaft for Sky Germany, won two German TV awards in the categories “Best Direction - Fiction” as well as “Best Camera – Fiction”.

Last but not least, the fifth season of Marblemedia’s All-Round Champion will premiere on BYUtv in the United States on January 15th and on TVOkids in Canada on February 8th. It was adapted from the Norwegian series Best i mest (NRK), which won an International Emmy Kids Award for non-scripted entertainment as well as a Prix Jeunesse award. The feel-good reality series features North America’s most decorated young athletes, who learn each other’s sports and compete against each other in them.
