“La Unidad” goes undercover in the U.S.: Beta licenses “La Unidad – Kabul” to Max

Beta has sold Spanish spec-ops thriller La Unidad - Kabul (6x1h) to Max for the U.S. Based on true events, the self-contained series is an unsettling and nail-biting look at the Western pull-out from Afghanistan. The six-hour thriller from Movistar Plus+ and Buendia Estudios marks the third installment of the hugely successful franchise La Unidad, all episodes are now available to stream on Max in the U.S. La Unidad (18x1h, Movistar Plus+/Buendia Estudios/Beta Film) is created by an award-winning team around Dani de la Torre.

La Unidad – Kabul reunites the stellar main cast from the previous installments with multi-awarded Nathalie Poza (Cathedral of the Sea) playing Carla, equally awarded Marian Álvarez (Velvet Collection) is back as Miriam, and renowned Argentinian actor Michel Noher (100 días para enamorarse) reprises his role of Marcos. The three investigators must travel to Kabul on an anti-terror mission and get caught up in one of the most disastrous political and humanitarian quagmires: the re-taking of Kabul by the Taliban.

Beta handles world sales and has previously sold the action-laden franchise to 50 territories, including France, Latin America, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Australia.
