Cold Summer starring Alessio Boni has become a record-breaking sensation in Italian primetime. The series premiered with peak audiences hitting 4.6 million viewers and a remarkable 23% market share on RAI and has left its competitors far behind.
Surpassing the channel's median with an average of 21% market share and 3.1 million viewers, Cold Summer stands as the undisputed champion of the night.
Adapted from the bestselling novel by former anti-Mafia prosecutor Gianrico Carofiglio, the series unravels an uneasy alliance between a small-time Mafia boss and an upright police sergeant in early ‘90s Italy, bringing down an organized crime ring.
The eight-part series is produced by Clemart for Rai Fiction in association with Beta Film.
