Elsa Morante’s La Storia takes Italy by storm

Elsa Morante's La Storia continued to dominate the Italian primetime with a peak audience of almost 6 million viewers and a peak market share of 26% on RAI1. The gripping drama averaged an outstanding market share of 24% among women aged 15-24 and an excellent average market share of 22% in all age groups, despite being available for free on the RaiPlay streaming platform since its linear premiere on January 8.

Elsa Morante's La Storia is produced by Picomedia (Roberto Sessa), Thalie Images (Stéphane Moatti), in collaboration with Rai Fiction (Maria Pia Ammirati, Francesco Nardella, Francesca Tura, Daria Hensemberger), and in co-production with Beta (Koby Gal-Raday, Ferdinand Dohna). Starring Jasmine Trinca, Asia Argento, and Elio Germano, the series tells the story of Ida, a single mother of two sons, who hides her Jewish heritage and struggles against poverty and persecution during the end of World War II and post-war Rome.
