Beta Group celebrates Bernd Burgemeister price

Empire Oktoberfest (10x1h) is the epic saga of two rival brewing families who battle for dominance and survival around the iconic Oktoberfest at the turn of the century. And the conflicts between the rivals explode once more at the Oktoberfest 1905.
The series stars some of Germany’s most talented actors, including Martina Gedeck (The Lives of the Others) and Mišel Matičević (Babylon Berlin), with Stephan Lacant (Sleeping Dogs) directing the latest four episodes. The series is produced by Zeitsprung Pictures and Violet Pictures, co-produced with BR, ARD Degeto Film, and MDR; in cooperation with Velvet Films, supported by FFF Bayern, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Wallimage, and Tax Shelter Belgium; Beta handles international sales.
The awards coincide with two additional world premieres of Zeitsprung’s current lineup:
Euphorie, the German remake based on the original format Euphoria by the Israeli cable channel HOT (created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, and produced in the original version by Tedy Production Ltd. for HOT, format distribution ADD Content Ltd.) premiered in the category New German TV Productions. The eight-part drama delves into the turbulent life of a teenage girl navigating mental health challenges, violence, and substance abuse.
In addition, the feature A Better World was praised by German media and circles around a female scientist as she confronts online hate and the blurred lines between digital and real-life identities.
Zeitsprung Pictures are also the producers of Medicus II, currently in shooting, the acclaimed Netflix original series Kleo, as well as Goebbels and the Führer, Dear Thomas.
